GARDEN DECKING
Why choosing the right garden decking matters
The surface you choose for your garden will be permanently exposed to ground moisture, rain, sun, temperature changes and constant contact with leaves, soil and organic debris. It needs to be comfortable for walking barefoot, safe for children and pets, and blend naturally with the lawn, stone and other elements in your garden.
Wood, ceramic and compositeare the most common options, each with different characteristics, lifespans and maintenance requirements.

WHY CDECK FOR YOUR GARDEN
CDECK® composite decking: why for your garden?
Manufactured in Portugal by IHT. Combines the appearance of natural wood with superior resistance to moisture, weathering and biological degradation. Warranty up to 25 years, estimated service life exceeding 30 years.
Does not rot in contact with the ground
High moisture resistance — does not rot even on permanently damp ground. Resistant to fungi, insects and termites. No treatments, sealants or varnishes required.
Installs on bare ground, concrete or uneven surfaces
Installs directly in the garden — on compacted earth, on an existing concrete slab or on surfaces with level changes. No need to lay a concrete base to have decking in your garden.
Safe for children and pets
Surface free from knots, splinters and visible screws. Slip-resistant even when wet. The CDECK surface withstands daily use with domestic animals — including dogs and cats.
Comfortable for walking barefoot
Smooth, even surface that is pleasant to the touch. Ideal for walking barefoot in the garden on warm days. Unlike ceramic, it does not become slippery when wet.
Simple, low maintenance
Regular cleaning with water and a neutral detergent. No sanding, painting or varnishing required — unlike natural timber.
Colours that blend with your garden
11 colours available across the two ranges — from dark tones to light and natural shades. Suits seating areas, pathways and transitions with lawn or stone.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Common questions about garden decking
Yes, provided it is installed with a braced substructure as described in the technical data sheet, the soil is compacted at the support points, and the air gap beneath the deck is not obstructed — for example, by using a geotextile membrane. Contact us for advice tailored to your garden.
CDECK has high resistance to abrasion and impact, making it well suited for garden furniture such as tables, chairs, sun loungers and planters. To preserve the appearance of the deck, we recommend fitting felt pads or rubber protectors to furniture legs and avoiding dragging heavy or sharp objects across the boards.
Like any outdoor surface, CDECK warms up when exposed to sunlight. Lighter colours absorb less heat than darker ones. Hollow boards tend to stay cooler than solid boards, as they allow internal ventilation. Compared to natural wood of a similar colour, the temperature difference to the touch is very slight and, in practice, barely noticeable. In gardens with trees, natural shade helps keep the surface cooler. For areas with high sun exposure, lighter colours such as Beech Beige are the most comfortable.
Yes. CDECK has high scratch resistance and is suitable for gardens where pets roam freely. The surface does not produce splinters or shards that could injure paws. Cleaning up after animals is straightforward, with water and a neutral detergent.
Maintaining garden decking is straightforward: regular cleaning with water and a neutral detergent is all that is needed. A pressure washer may be used at a distance of 30 cm, with a maximum pressure of 150 bar and a wide fan nozzle, always working along the length of the boards.
The price varies depending on the board type, total area, base type and accessories required. Indicative prices per board start at €19.07 for the CDECK Original hollow board and €20.21 for the CDECK WUUDE. CDECK is made from wood fibres sourced from responsibly managed forests and is 100% recyclable. Its durability (estimated service life exceeding 30 years) and reduced maintenance needs — no varnishes, sealants or chemical treatments — make it a more sustainable alternative to natural timber over the long term.
CDECK has an estimated service life exceeding 30 years, under recommended use and maintenance conditions, with a warranty of up to 25 years. See the applicable warranty terms.
