Problems we solve on your terrace

We know what a hospitality terrace has to cope with day in, day out. That's why CDECK® is built to answer the challenges that affect use, maintenance and keeping the business running.

Closing the terrace to varnish it

No sanding, painting, varnishing or oiling. It's kept in condition with regular washing using water, a mild detergent and a soft-bristled brush.

Spills with every service

Coffee, wine, beer or oil come off with water and a mild detergent. The CDECK WUUDE® range, with its capped board, doesn't absorb liquids.

A wet terrace

Class 3 slip resistance, certified in ETA 26/0031, with grip even when wet from rain or a spill.

A whole summer of sun

High resistance to UV radiation: colour variation from ageing is minimal.

Days on site

The Quick-Fix® system uses a single screw per board, which cuts the number of days on site compared with a traditional system.

A solution that adapts to different types of terrace

Street terrace

The most exposed part of the premises. It takes the rain and the sun off the pavement without changing appearance from one season to the next.

Coastal terrace

Front line, with the sea in view. Sea breeze and salt water spray don't affect the material.

Roof terrace

It sits on the existing surface, with no drilling into the base and no building work.

Interior courtyard

Less ventilation and more moisture. The floor is ventilated underneath, so water doesn't collect below the boards.

Which CDECK should you choose for your terrace?

Both ranges are suitable for commercial use. The difference lies mainly in the finish and in the protection against stains and moisture.

Frequently asked questions

Which CDECK decking is most suitable for a bar or restaurant terrace?

It depends on the use, the exposure and the project's priorities. CDECK Original® offers hollow and solid boards and a classic finish. CDECK WUUDE®, being capped, gives extra protection against stains and moisture and makes cleaning easier on terraces with frequent spills. Our team can help you choose the most suitable configuration.

Is it possible to take up the decking or reach a drain?

Yes. With the right configuration, the Quick-Fix® system lets you lift out individual boards to reach drains, inspection points or areas that need maintenance.

How much does decking for a bar or restaurant terrace cost? / How much per m²?

The price depends on the range, the type of board, the area and how complex the project is. You can use the CDECK® configurator to get an estimate of materials and price, or ask for a quote for your project.

What warranty does CDECK have for commercial use?

CDECK® comes with a warranty of up to 10 years for commercial use, depending on the product and the applicable warranty conditions.

How do you clean coffee, wine or oil stains?

With water, a non-abrasive degreaser and a soft-bristled brush. The CDECK WUUDE® range has an all but waterproof cap that prevents liquids from being absorbed. It's best to act as soon as possible so the dirt doesn't work its way in.

Can a pressure washer be used?

Yes, at a distance of around 30 cm, with a maximum pressure of 150 bar and with a fan jet. Always clean the boards along their length to protect the integrity of the material.

Does the installation mean closing the business?

The aim is to keep disruption to the running of the premises to a minimum. With the Quick-Fix® system, installation is 3 times faster than with a traditional system, which cuts the number of days on site.

Can it be laid over the existing surface?

Yes. Where the base can't be drilled or you need to gain height, the decking sits on the existing surface with aluminium joists and tubes, with the structure fixed to a fixed element.

Is it slip-resistant?

Yes. Class 3 to EN 15534, with grip even when wet and a surface free of splinters and visible screws.
