CDECK® Composite Decking

There is no single price: it depends on the range, board type, existing surface and complexity of the installation. That is why we prepare a quote tailored to each project. Three things are often mentioned: heat, scratches and fading. In practice, much depends on the quality of the board. Like any outdoor surface, composite decking heats up in direct sunlight, but lighter colours and hollow boards remain cooler. When it comes to scratches, Original® is coloured throughout, so minor marks are barely noticeable. WUUDE®, meanwhile, offers high UV resistance and retains its colour over time.

Composite decking is made from a blend of wood fibres and polymers, giving you the look of wood without the same level of maintenance. There are two main types: single-extrusion boards, where the material and colour run throughout the board, and co-extruded boards, where the core is protected by an outer layer. CDECK® offers both: Original®, our single-extrusion range, and WUUDE®, our co-extruded range.

Focus on three things. First, the quality of the composite itself, as performance can vary considerably from one manufacturer to another. Second, the board construction: hollow or solid. Finally, the finish: single extrusion for a more understated look, or co-extrusion for a more pronounced wood appearance. Colour matters too, as lighter shades tend to stay cooler in the sun. Hollow boards contain internal air chambers. This makes them lighter, improves ventilation and helps them remain slightly cooler. Solid boards are dense all the way through and are designed to withstand more demanding conditions. We explain the differences in detail in our guide to hollow and solid composite decking boards.

Yes. It is rot-resistant and suitable for environments exposed to both salt and chlorine. Its Class 3 slip resistance (EN 15534) helps provide a safe surface even when wet, while remaining comfortable under bare feet. This applies to both CDECK® ranges.

Thanks to the patented Quick-Fix® system, installation can be up to 3× faster, using just one screw per board. The system adapts to different types of surfaces, including concrete slabs, uneven ground and waterproof membranes, without the need to drill through them. Very little is required: water, a neutral detergent and a soft brush are usually enough. A pressure washer can also be used with care (maximum 150 bar, from a distance of 30 cm, following the direction of the boards — to be confirmed). No oiling, varnishing or annual timber treatment.
