On a private estate surrounded by nature in central Portugal, a patch of bare earth was transformed into an outdoor retreat, with no building work or concrete, thanks to CDECK WUUDE® composite decking.
On an estate surrounded by nature and the tranquillity of the countryside, the owner saw that patch of bare earth as the ideal place to create something special.
He wanted to turn the space into a retreat where he could park his caravan and enjoy the surroundings — a place to rest, socialise and make the most of the outdoors in comfort. He dreamt of a space that would invite him to breathe the fresh air, listen to the birds, cook, welcome friends and simply be.
The challenge was to shape this idea without building work, concrete foundations or drilling, keeping the ground natural and permeable. He was looking for a simple, quick, high-quality solution, capable of combining functionality, integration and serenity — true to the essence of the place.
To shape the space the owner had imagined, the solution was CDECK® system installation Type 3 (Quick-Fix) — designed specifically for applications over bare earth.
This system uses a cross-braced structure of aluminium tubes and supports, laid directly on the ground, with no drilling or cement, and with adjustable height thanks to CDECK® plots — ideal for levelling the decking and adapting it to the desired height.
The result is a solid, long-lasting structure that respects the natural permeability of the ground and blends discreetly into the landscape. On top of this structure, the floor that would transform the plot into a true leisure space took shape.

Where there was once only a patch of bare earth, a space designed for living fully outdoors has been born.
CDECK WUUDE® composite decking turned the plot into a welcoming, functional leisure space, perfect for relaxing, welcoming friends and enjoying the natural surroundings in complete comfort and simplicity. The contrast between the decking and the landscape creates harmony and balance: nature remains present, now with a new sense of comfort.
This project shows how natural spaces can be given a new lease of life with a quick, highly durable solution requiring no building work — an outdoor setting ready to be enjoyed in every season of the year.
