Frequently asked questions

Is it safe for children and wet areas?

Yes. CDECK® has Class 3 slip resistance in wet conditions and a surface with no knots or splinters, comfortable to walk on barefoot.

Does it resist chlorine and salt water?

Yes. CDECK® is suitable for chlorinated and salt water pools, and it doesn’t rot with constant moisture. It’s important to ensure proper drainage and regular cleaning. The product is not designed for permanent submersion.

Does the deck get hot in the sun?

Yes, like any outdoor flooring. The surface temperature depends on the colour, sun exposure and installation conditions. Lighter shades heat up less than darker ones.

For areas with a lot of sun, choose a light colour and consider creating some shade.

Can it be installed over the pool coping or a waterproofing membrane?

Yes. We choose the substructure, in PVC or aluminium, to suit the base. Over waterproofing membranes, there are self-supporting solutions that avoid drilling through the waterproofing. Drainage and ventilation underneath must be ensured, in line with the installation manual.

See the installation guide

Can I get to the skimmer and pumps?

Yes. With Quick-Fix PRO® clips, you can remove boards individually to reach skimmers, pumps or inspection chambers, without taking apart the rest of the deck.

How do you clean pool decking?

For routine cleaning, water, a neutral detergent and a soft brush or mop are all you need. Remove spills as soon as possible and don’t let debris build up between the boards.

For specific stains or pressure washing, see the cleaning and maintenance guide.
