The Project

Private home in Trémolat, France, with a generous outdoor leisure area centred around the pool. A space with great potential, but one that required a flooring intervention to restore the comfort and aesthetic of the overall setting.

The Challenge

The pool surround was finished with timber decking that, over the years, had progressively lost its usability.

01

Visible deterioration

Years of exposure to sun and moisture resulted in warped, cracked timber with an aged appearance that detracted from the entire outdoor space.

02

Demanding maintenance

Natural timber requires regular upkeep that, over time, becomes increasingly difficult to sustain. The result was a surface that, beyond its deteriorated state, demanded ever-greater intervention just to remain in a basic condition of use.

The Solution

The answer was the complete replacement of the timber decking with CDECK® composite decking — a low-maintenance solution, resistant to weather conditions and aesthetically superior, suited to the intensive use that a pool area demands.

The Result

An outdoor space completely transformed. The new CDECK® decking restored a refined, contemporary aesthetic to the area, with a comfortable, safe surface built to last.

“Top-quality material, and a sales representative (Alexandra — I won’t leave her unnamed) who is always present, available and full of excellent advice, and speaks perfect French. I can only recommend this brand to anyone who wants a magnificent deck.”
