On a private property surrounded by nature in central Portugal, a patch of bare ground became an outdoor retreat, with no building work and no concrete, thanks to CDECK WUUDE® composite decking.
On a property surrounded by nature and steeped in the quiet of the countryside, the owner looked at this patch of bare earth and saw the ideal place to make something special. The plan was to park the caravan there and make the most of the setting: somewhere to rest, have guests over and live outdoors. The challenge was to do all that with no building work, no concreting and no drilling, keeping the ground natural and permeable. What the project called for was a solution that was simple, quick and well made, and worthy of the spirit of the place.
The answer was Type 3 installation of the Quick-Fix® system, designed specifically for use over bare ground. It works as a cross-laid structure of aluminium tubes and joists that sits directly on the ground, with no drilling and no concrete, and is height-adjustable using CDECK® pedestals to level the deck and bring it to the required height. The result is a solid, long-lasting structure that leaves the ground's natural permeability intact and settles quietly into the landscape.

Where there had been nothing but bare ground, a real outdoor living space took shape. CDECK WUUDE® composite decking turned it into a welcoming place to unwind, made for relaxing, having guests over and enjoying the surrounding nature in complete comfort. The contrast between the decking and the landscape strikes a fine balance: nature is still very much there, now with a new sense of comfort.
