The project

This private home in Santiago do Cacém features a spacious outdoor area designed for relaxation, with the pool as a central part of everyday life. Here, the outdoor flooring plays an essential role in the comfort and usability of the space.

The challenge

The area was originally finished with tiles, a solution that, over time, began to show its limitations.

Material deterioration

The existing tiles were significantly deteriorated, with numerous pieces broken, loose or missing. This resulted in visible gaps and an uneven, inconsistent surface.

Safety and usability

As a poolside area with frequent barefoot use, the condition of the surface was particularly concerning. The uneven flooring, with broken and detached tiles, created a risk of cuts and discomfort when walking, compromising the safety of the space.

The solution

The solution was to install CDECK® composite decking, completely replacing the existing surface. The intervention created a continuous, safe and slip-resistant surface, suitable for pool areas and comfortable for barefoot use.
