CDECK® Composite Decking Maintenance
Learn how to maintain your CDECK composite decking in a practical and efficient way, with step-by-step videos.
How to clean the decking after installation
During CDECK installation, dust is commonly produced. After the work is complete, dust residues or particles may remain on the surface.
For effective post-installation cleaning:
- Wash the decking thoroughly with water and a mild detergent.
- Use asoft brush to remove dirt.
- Use a pressure washer at a distance of approximately 30 cm, with a maximum pressure of 150 bar.
- Use a wide fan nozzleand always wash along the length of the boards, to preserve the integrity of the material.

How to carry out regular composite decking maintenance
CDECK decking is easy to maintain. Even so, regular cleaning is recommended to preserve its aesthetics, quality and durability over the years. As this is an outdoor product, exposure to the elements may lead to the build-up of dirt and debris and, in some cases, signs of fungi or moss.
To keep your decking in top condition:
- Clean it periodicallywith water, a mild detergent and a soft brush.
- Use a pressure washer at a distance of approximately 30 cm, with a maximum pressure of 150 bar and a wide fan nozzle.
- Always wash the boards along their length, to preserve the integrity of the material.
How to remove food residues and grease from the decking
During use, food, drinks, greaseor other substances may occasionally be spilt on the decking. Acting quickly helps to preserve its appearance and keep the boards clean.
- Act immediately to minimise absorption of substances into the wood fibres.
- To remove stains, wash the boards with water, a non-abrasive degreasing product and a soft brush.
- Test a small amount of the product on a discreet area before applying it to the affected zone.
- If the stains cannot be removed by this process, gently scrub with a wire brush or hand sandpaper, always along the length of the board. This may cause a colour difference, but it will fade as the colour stabilises over time.
- CDECK WUUDE has a virtually impermeable coating that prevents the absorption of liquids and other substances. Even so, clean as soon as possible to prevent dirt from becoming ingrained in the decking.
- To remove residues, wash the boards with water, a non-abrasive degreasing product and a soft brush.
- Test a small amount of the product on a discreet area before applying it to the affected zone.
How to eliminate limescale stains from the decking
Water hardness varies according to the amount of dissolved calcium and magnesium salts. In harder water areas, limescale deposits may form on exposed surfaces, including CDECK composite decking. These deposits appear as whitish marks and result from the evaporation of water with a higher mineral concentration.
How to clean:
- Wash the boards with water, an anti-limescale product and a soft brush.
- Test a small amount of the producton a discreet area of the decking before applying it to the affected zone, to ensure it is safe to use.
What daily care is needed to preserve your composite decking
Over time, it is natural for small signs of wear to appear. On CDECK Original, these tend to fade gradually without the need for intervention and, with simple care, CDECK maintains its appearance and durability over the years.
Key recommendations:
- Avoid moving heavy and/or sharp objects across the boards, to preserve the decking surface.
- Protect the bases of objects in direct contact with the decking, to reduce wear and preserve its surface.
